District and School Leaders

High Expectations builds the capacity of district leaders to support strong family engagement.

Using the Dual Capacity-Building Framework for Home-School Partnerships, we work alongside district leadership to:

Create organizational conditions where family engagement is embraced by leadership across the organization, is embedded in all strategies and is sustained with resources and infrastructure.‍
Assess their current family engagement supports, strategies and practices and understand how to develop a capacity-building plan for improved partnerships.
Support sustainable family engagement practices at the District and school-site level.

2-day District Capacity-Building Strategic Planning Institute

During this Institute, we lead participants through a process to identify and develop system-wide engagement strategies that strengthen home-school partnerships and improve student outcomes. District leaders will:

Learn to support schools in implementing the Dual Capacity-Building Framework for Family-School Partnerships
Work together to create a District Family Engagement Capacity-Building Strategic Plan for supporting and evaluating family engagement practices throughout the district.
Learn to support schools to engage families in ways that are linked to learning, culturally responsive, and asset-based.
Build their knowledge, capacity and confidence for deepening family engagement at school sites.
